Yardperson

Responsibilities:

• To assist in the unloading of all trays from the delivery vehicles through the use of the unloading platform
• To unload lorries using MHE, recording goods in on-load sheets and checking reference numbers against ordered quantities of trays and Pallets.
• Ensure that all M&S trays are DE labelled and Barcodes removed to ensure product can be packed into through the automated line.
• To assist in the despatching of vehicles from the Apple Way site from out in the yard including the loading of trays/carboard/pallets and finished product.
• To help to the counting of Equipment on a daily and weekly basis to ensure we have enough RTP to cover our orders.
• To provide Forklift cover in the Yard during breaks and provide cover for Holidays and Sickness
• To undertake any other duties which support the smooth running of the Yard, this may include the baler and box maker duties.
• To actively promote best practice in relation to Hygiene, Health & Safety standards, good housekeeping and support the Company’s efforts to minimise its environmental impact and adopt environmental best practice.
• To look to identify areas of improvement, opportunity, innovation and communicate these to the relevant personnel.
• To provide Forklift cover in the Yard during breaks and provide cover for Holidays and Sickness to look to identify areas of continuous improvement and communicate ideas to relevant staff. To use tools and techniques such as 5S, root cause.
• To ensure brand integrity is maintained for Worldwide Fruit and our customers by following policies and procedures so the product meets the expected standard and specification. Ensuring that care and attention is dedicated to what we produce is to the best of our ability for all brands involved.
