Sr. Tech Specialist
Johnson Service Group (JSG) is actively searching for a Sr. Tech Specialist for our client’s operation near Atlanta, GA. This is a contract position and a fantastic opportunity to gain exposure with a Fortune 500 industry leader.
The Sr. Tech Specialist will play a critical role with completing R&D crash testing in accordance with governmental standards. This is a highly hands‑on, mechanical role requiring frequent work with tools, fixtures, instrumentation, and test hardware to build, modify, troubleshoot, and maintain lab setups and equipment.
Responsibilities- Perform crash testing with dynamic crash simulator
- Maintenance and repair of laboratory equipment including anthropomorphic test devices
- Provide leadership and direction to team of technicians
- Reporting and archiving test results in a timely manner
- Continuous improvement of laboratory equipment and processes
- Test sample preparation and disposal
- Perform other various physical and mechanical tests as required
- Maintain daily Test Schedule in a fast‑paced work environment
- 2+ years of related work experience
- Associate degree in technology or mechanical field (automotive a plus)
- Computer proficiency (Microsoft Office, other proprietary software for custom equipment)
- Strong mechanical ability (hand/shop tools, soldering, machining, welding)
- Extremely organized/attention to detail
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
