Position Summary
Dal-Tile is currently seeking a Production Associate I to join our team. The role ensures the correct quality control of materials produced such as inspecting, buffing, and counting selected units of ceramic tile.
Primary ObjectivePerforms a variety of duties including inspecting, buffing, and counting selected units of ceramic tile.
Major Function and Scope- Inspects tile for cracks and variations of thickness (lamination) in Tunnel Manufacturing Operation.
- Buffs burs off tile.
- Places tile on trays and counts units of tile.
- Follows standard operating procedures and maintains quality checks as specified.
- Monitors equipment or processes and reports problems to supervisor.
- Keeps area safe, clean, and organized.
- Performs other related duties as required.
- High school diploma or equivalent experience.
- 1 year previous manufacturing/production experience preferred.
- Good oral and written communications skills.
- Good record keeping skills.
- Good listening skills.
- Accurate measurement capability.
- Ability to understand and speak basic English.
While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to stand, use hands, and reach with hands and arms. The associate is required to walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The associate may be required to sometimes sit, climb, or balance. The associate may lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this position include close vision, peripheral vision, and ability to adjust focus.
The associate is regularly exposed to moving mechanical parts and occasionally to fumes or airborne particles. The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures and to loud noise levels.
