Job Description Client Overview

Our client is a highly backed, rapidly expanding defense manufacturer based in Roswell, Georgia, specializing in the design and production of world‑class small turbojet engines for U.S. Department of Defense unmanned drones and interceptors. Operating with the agility of a startup and the financial stability of a major defense contractor, they are experiencing explosive growth and actively expanding their facilities to meet massive production demands.

This is an exceptional opportunity to join a collaborative, high‑energy environment and directly impact the development of cutting‑edge aerospace technology free from traditional commercial red tape.

Overview

This position exists to bridge the gap between design engineering and physical production, driving the transition from foundational manufacturing procedures to highly scalable, consistent assembly processes. By establishing robust manufacturing operations, eliminating process variability, and introducing advanced tooling, this role directly impacts the organization's ability to safely and efficiently scale turbojet engine production to meet aggressive delivery timelines for mission‑critical defense contracts.

Summary

We are seeking a highly resourceful and hands‑on Manufacturing Engineer to join our client's team on‑site in Roswell, GA. The primary focus of this role is to own manufacturing design scopes, optimize engine assembly processes, and implement continuous improvement methodologies directly on the production floor. The ideal candidate is a collaborative, self‑motivated engineer with a background in high‑volume, fast‑paced manufacturing who thrives in a dynamic environment where they can build and refine scalable processes from the ground up.

Responsibilities

Lead manufacturing project scopes across multiple product lines to ensure the successful and timely delivery of advanced turbojet engines.

Develop, validate, and continuously refine detailed assembly work instructions and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to establish scalable production capabilities.

Execute continuous improvement initiatives utilizing value stream mapping and advanced problem‑solving methodologies to reduce build hours, minimize variability, and increase overall production rates.

Monitor and optimize key manufacturing metrics, including takt time, cycle time, and production yield.

Design and implement custom tooling and fixtures from initial ideation through physical execution to improve manufacturing accuracy and repeatability.

Collaborate cross‑functionally with Design, Quality, and Production teams to conduct rigorous root cause analyses and resolve complex manufacturing constraints.

Evaluate new engineering designs for manufacturability, seamlessly integrating product updates into the active production environment.

Support day‑to‑day production floor operations, providing hands‑on assistance with engine assembly, fluid systems flow testing, and equipment operation.
