CNC Machinist, Machine Operator
Shift: 2nd Shift | Monday–Thursday, 3:00 PM–1:30 AM
Schedule: 4 days per week | Friday–Sunday off
Pay: $32–$46/hour, depending on experience and skill level
About the Opportunity:
We are seeking an experienced CNC machinist for a direct-hire opportunity in Winston, GA. This position is ideal for a highly skilled machinist with strong hands-on experience setting up and operating Mazak CNC machines with live tooling, using Mazatrol controls, and performing conversational programming.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working independently, setting up their own machines, and producing multiple different parts throughout the day while maintaining quality and productivity standards.
Please note: This position requires commuting to the Winston, GA, worksite. Relocation assistance and per diem are not available.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up, operate, and troubleshoot CNC machines independently.
- Set up your own machines for production runs.
- Operate Mazak CNC machines with live tooling.
- Utilize Mazatrol controls and conversational programming.
- Produce approximately 10–15 different parts per day while maintaining quality and efficiency.
- Work with both Mazak and Haas CNC machines.
- Read and interpret machining requirements, drawings, and specifications.
- Perform in-process inspections and make necessary adjustments to maintain part quality.
- Troubleshoot machining and setup issues as needed.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
- Follow company safety and quality procedures.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a CNC Machinist / CNC Setup Machinist.
- Hands-on experience with Mazak machines with live tooling – required.
- Strong experience with Mazatrol – required.
- Experience with conversational programming – required.
- Experience setting up and running your own machines – required.
- Experience producing multiple part numbers, ideally 10–15 different parts per day.
- Experience with both Mazak and Haas CNC machines.
- G-code programming experience is not required for this position.
- Ability to work independently and troubleshoot machining/setup issues.
- Must have basic personal tools required to start the position.
