* POSITION SUMMARY:

** The PM72 Finisher is responsible for safely handling, inspecting, labeling, and preparing finished product for shipment. This role ensures all rolls meet quality and customer specifications, maintains accurate documentation, and supports smooth finishing operations and material flow.

** ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
*** Follow all safety procedures including PPE use, hazard recognition, LOTO, and safe handling of rolls, materials, and finishing equipment.
* Recognize and safely perform high‐risk tasks such as startup, cleaning, adjustments, and jam clearing while following proper controls and supervision requirements.
* Operate finishing systems and computers to manage production orders, labeling, and workflow through the TIPS/barcode system.
* Print, verify, and apply correct product labels, including small labels and master labels, ensuring accuracy and traceability.
* Inspect finished rolls and pallets for defects, damage, proper stacking, and overall product condition prior to shipment.
* Ensure all materials are correctly identified, tagged, and documented to maintain traceability and compliance with customer specifications.
* Maintain consistent product quality by identifying defects, recognizing trends, and taking corrective action before shipment.
* Apply cover sheets and complete required documentation to ensure proper product protection and order accuracy.
* Organize rolls and materials to support efficient workflow, safe handling, and shipment readiness.
* Use measuring tools such as tape measures to verify product dimensions and ensure compliance with specifications.
* Coordinate with upstream and downstream operations to maintain production flow and meet delivery requirements.
* Maintain clean and organized work areas, communicate effectively with team members, and support continuous improvement in safety and quality.  
** REQUIRED

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

*** High School Diploma or GED preferred and/or prior training on Pulp and Paper.
* Operating and monitoring machinery.
* Knowledge of paper making process.
* Ability to establish good working relationships.
* Computer knowledge.
* Attention to detail.
* Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
* Lean Manufacturing Concepts preferable.

** Pay Transparency Range: 14.75 - 16.25 USD Annually/Hourly*
