We’re looking for a Senior Communications Specialist within Intuit’s Global Small Business Group (GBSG) US External Communications team. In this role, you’re responsible for supporting PR and integrated communications strategies, including media relations, speaking and awards, performance communications, and PR operations across Intuit Quick Books and Mailchimp.
Job Summary:
We're on the hunt for a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and collaborative PR Manager with approximately 5 years of PR experience to supercharge our team! This role isn't just about storytelling around Quick Books and Mailchimp—it’s about driving that story and using it to elevate the Intuit business platform with serious operational rigor. You'll be the linchpin, connecting dots and driving work streams end-to-end to ensure seamless collaboration across internal teams and PR agencies.
You’ll play a critical role in developing and executing PR strategies and initiatives that elevate the brand and reputation of Quick Books and Mailchimp. This means working closely with our GBSG US External Communications team to operationalize our pitch priorities and agency workflows, developing and implementing integrated communication plans, crafting briefing documents, driving measurement and reporting, and leading our corporate speaking and awards programs.
A key part of this role will be providing essential operational support to our PR agencies, managing agendas, sending out timely updates, and connecting the dots across teams to ensure clarity on pitch priorities and status. Your mission? To unlock our agency partners from account management tasks, allowing them to focus their energy on delivering impactful results and earned media.

Responsibilities- Operationalize PR agency engagement across multiple agencies; coordinate scheduling; develop agendas with team input, drive meetings, capture notes and actions, and follow up to ensure task progress and completion. Connect dots across disparate teams and innovate to find new ways to help us make workflows and team meetings more efficient and effective.
- Develop communications materials (briefing docs, speaking and award abstracts, media alerts/pitches, integrated communications plans, and reports) for Quick Books and Mailchimp.
- Manage the corporate speaking program, including employee requests for approval to speak externally, coordinating approval for vendor endorsement requests, and gathering feedback and refining the process as needed.
- Maintain our tracker of awards and recognitions across external lists and rankings. Lead the awards submission process from end to end, bringing in the necessary teams and individuals to contribute and amplify. Drive integrated comms plans to amplify recognition, partnering with social and employee comms.
- Research media trends, competitor news, and mine for stories to help support development of media strategy.
- Support our customer storytelling efforts by sourcing, interviewing, and developing compelling customer success stories, maintaining a library of approved narratives for media pitching and integrated communications.
- Organize the editorial calendar and content pipeline for customer-focused PR initiatives, ensuring consistent messaging and story readiness.
- Monitor media coverage and prepare regular reports on media activity;
Drive reporting for announcements in partnership with our agencies and internal data teams.
- 5 years of direct PR experience with some experience at a PR agency (a combination of agency and in-house experience is preferred).
- Quick study with ability to continuously learn and apply feedback to work; keen interest and acumen for understanding products, technology, SMBs, fintech, marketing, etc.
- Ability to drive communications work streams with little oversight; proactively connect dots across teams and surface gaps or misalignment.
