This position will require the prospective candidate to write and prepare grant proposals using the system outlined by the grants and donor development team. Such activities will require you to familiarize yourself with agency programs, goals and financial needs to best speak to those desired needs. The candidate will also look into potential funding sources outside of grants and coordinate fundraising/donor events.
The candidate must also keep careful records to track their proposals. This position will require that the grant writer work very closely with the senior management team and board, planning fundraising campaigns and promoting the organization through public relations work.
Aniz, Inc. is a community‑based nonprofit that promotes emotional and physical wellness by providing mental health and substance use counseling, support services, and sexual health education. The recruitable VISTA member will assist in the key agency capacity‑building area of volunteer recruitment. The individual in this position will be responsible for organizing and assisting with program development to address the opioid epidemic in Atlanta, ensuring vulnerable populations continue to receive quality services.
They will develop and train new outreach volunteers on cultural competency, organize outreach efforts including packing up emergency supplies, and assist with the development of supply packages.
