Children's Ministry Leader: Growth & Discipleship

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all programming and discipleship efforts for children (infants through 5th grade).
• Define and implement strategic goals that align with Renovation Church's vision and mission.
• Maintain the integrity of Bible teaching by ensuring alignment with the church's doctrinal convictions.
• Identify and create ministry and mission opportunities for children.
• Regularly communicate the ministry's vision, progress, and needs to senior leadership.

• Recruit, train, and equip volunteers to serve in children's ministry.
• Provide leadership, encouragement, and ongoing development for volunteers and children's ministry staff.
• Foster a culture of collaboration and spiritual growth within the children's ministry team.

• Establish and oversee a security system that ensures the safety and well-being of children.
• Develop and manage the children's ministry budget in alignment with church financial policies.
• Review and approve curriculum to ensure theological alignment with church doctrine.
• Utilize emerging technologies to enhance engagement and effectiveness in ministry.

• Plan and execute special events for children and families, such as Summer Blast and fall festivals.
• Develop strategies to reach children and families in the broader community.
• Collaborate with other ministries to integrate children's discipleship into the larger church community.

• Attend and actively participate in staff meetings and retreats.
• Engage in personal spiritual growth and model a lifestyle consistent with biblical leadership (1 Tim. 3:1-13; 2 Tim. 2; Titus 1:5-9).
• Worship regularly with Renovation Church and participate in a Small Group.

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a full-time or part-time children's ministry role or Bachelor’s Degree in related fields.
• Strong ability to lead and engage people from diverse backgrounds, ethnicities, and socio-economic levels.
• A growing Christian faith and character.
• A passion for teaching and mentoring children in biblical truth.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to pass a background check.
• A strong commitment to the vision and strategy of Renovation Church.

• Maintain a growing personal relationship with God, living out the Cross's vertical and horizontal implications.
• Prioritize mental, emotional, and physical health.
• Model the Vision, Values, Mission, and Strategy of Renovation Church in personal and community life.
• Develop and disciple people through relational ministry.
• Be engaged in personal and collective mission efforts.
