In this role, you will support the expansion of this innovative non-profit founded in 2011, and your day-to-day activities will be overseen by LBC’s Executive Director. You will also receive support from LBC’s diverse management team possessing a wealth of experience with key Metro Atlanta neighborhoods, civic organizations, corporations, nonprofits, universities, and government agencies.
You will gain ongoing professional development as you participate in regular team meetings, as well as one-to-one meetings with staff leadership, and you will build a range of technical skills through hands-on training and coaching. You will gain valuable experience and knowledge from your interactions with our partner organizations, corporate sponsors and community members.
You will help develop critically needed tools, systems and processes to expand LBC’s impact and support LBC’s long-term vision to direct more materials from the waste stream and into the communities that most need them.
To date, LBC has diverted 14+ million pounds of materials away from landfills and created over $7 million dollars in community savings through deep discounts to local residents and material donations to 450+ nonprofits.
- Redevelop and maintain LBC’s database of foundations and corporate sponsors
- Engage with corporate partners, academic institutions and government agencies to source building material donations for area nonprofits through LBC’s MATCH program
- Help increase awareness about LBC’s MATCH program within the Atlanta nonprofit community and deepen LBC’s nonprofit partnerships
- Help document impact of LBC’s MATCH program and volunteer projects to increase awareness and increase volunteer engagement
- Develop communications procedures for updating/thanking volunteers and providing other opportunities for continued engagement, including giving and advocacy
- Help develop MATCH case studies and impact story templates for LBC communications channels (website, social media, corporate presentation, flyers, Annual Report) and leverage these stories to increase engagement and expand awareness about LBC’s programs
