Volunteer Art Mentor for Kids in Need — Thursdays

Drawchange is dedicated to empowering children from lower socioeconomic situations through the use of art therapy-based programming. Our programs teach coping skills that foster Collaboration, Creation, Dream-building, Empowerment, Imagination, Self-Esteem, and Stress-Relief. Our vision is to provide the tools necessary so each child has the ability to express themselves fully.

In using the research-based principles of integrating the arts in the general curriculum, we hope to increase self-esteem and thinking skills in children to help them become better world citizens. Wherever there is a need, drawchange wants to be there providing art supplies.

You don't need to be an artist to volunteer for this opportunity!

We are a nonprofit organization that helps impoverished children realize their dreams through the use of art. They can be anything they want to be!

Dedicate a few hours to help children express themselves through the use of art! For this program, we are in the Grant Park area on Thursdays from 6 40 pm to 8 20 pm. We do art therapy-based programming with the children to have fun and create with us while forgetting their daily stresses. We focus on empowerment-using only nice words and collaboration.

It's so much fun and full of positivity! We bring all the supplies, you come to hang out and help them with the activity!

We are looking for volunteers over 18.
