The Georgia Society of CPAs (GSCPA) is seeking an organized, proactive and relationship-focused professional to join our team as Member & Student Engagement Coordinator.
This position supports engagement, programs, events, and volunteer activities across GSCPA, with primary responsibility for student engagement and support of GSCPA's statewide chapters. The Coordinator will work with members, students, educators, and volunteer leaders while collaborating across the organization to deliver well-organized programs, strong communications and a positive experience for those we serve.
Reporting to the Chief Relationship Officer, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, takes ownership of their work and thrives in a role that combines relationship-building, communication, program coordination and event support.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate student membership recruitment, onboarding and engagement efforts.
- Build and maintain relationships with accounting educators, campus contacts, student organizations and students throughout Georgia.
- Coordinate student communications, outreach, career programs and other initiatives designed to connect future accounting professionals with GSCPA and the CPA profession.
- Serve as a primary staff contact for GSCPA's statewide chapters and chapter leaders, providing communications, scheduling, materials and program support.
- Build strong relationships with chapter and other volunteer leaders and help connect them with GSCPA resources and opportunities.
- Coordinate scheduling, communications, materials, registration, logistics and follow-up for member advisory groups, volunteer leadership programs and meetings.
- Support GSCPA-sponsored programs focused on member engagement, leadership development, student engagement, community outreach and charitable initiatives.
- Maintain volunteer records and meeting attendance information and provide ongoing administrative and logistical support for volunteer programs.
- Assist with the planning and execution of GSCPA events, including registrations, materials, communications, vendors, venues, and onsite logistics.
- Collaborate with colleagues across GSCPA on organization-wide programs, events and strategic initiatives.
- Provide responsive, professional service to members, students, educators, volunteers and other GSCPA stakeholders.
- Take ownership of assigned projects and responsibilities while identifying opportunities to improve processes and the participant experience.
- Bachelor's degree preferred, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
- Experience in association work, membership, student or community engagement, volunteer coordination, event/program support, customer service or a related field preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with a variety of audiences.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and follow-through.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, calendars, programs and deadlines simultaneously.
- Proactive and self-directed, with the ability to identify what needs to be done, solve problems and move work forward without requiring detailed direction.
- Collaborative and willing to contribute across departments and programs as organizational needs evolve.
- Ability and willingness to travel and work occasional evenings and weekends in support of GSCPA programs and events.
- Proficiency with Microsoft 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Teams.
- Strong working knowledge of Excel for maintaining lists, organizing information, tracking participation and producing basic reports.
- Ability to quickly learn and effectively use association management systems, event registration platforms, email and communication tools, and other technology used to support members and programs.
- Comfort using virtual meeting platforms and digital collaboration tools.
- Ability to maintain accurate information within databases and other technology platforms.
- Comfort using digital and emerging productivity tools, including AI-enabled tools, to support communication, research, planning and efficient program execution.
