Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Job Details

• 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (DEU) providing care to a mixed Med/Surg patient population,

• Travel nurses function in a standard Med/Surg nursing care role - not in an educator or preceptor capacity,

• Patient-to-nurse ratio of 5-6:1,

• 12-hour day shifts, 3 shifts per week,

• 4 weekend shifts required per month,

• Block scheduling is generally not approved,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - GA or Compact license required,

• Current BLS certification required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Experience in a large, high-volume, or Level 1 trauma hospital required - candidates with experience limited to small or low-acuity facilities will not be considered,

• Demonstrated ability to manage critical, fast-paced, high-acuity patient situations,
