TNAA Total Med RN is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Atlanta, Georgia.

• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre- and post-op patients.
• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients  immediate conditions or needs.
• Prepare, administer and record prescribed medications, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters and start IVs.
• Aid physician during examination and treatment of patient; prepare equipment as needed.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures and discharge planning; initiate patient education plan as prescribed by physician.

• 1-2 years of recent acute care experience (Med Surg preferred).
• BLS required; additional certifications may be required before beginning an assignment.
• RNs should be able to stand and walk for long periods, lift up to 20 pounds routinely and up to 50 pounds as needed; may work in a fast-paced environment with patients who may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

• Pay package is based on 12-hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with a tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
