Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a night shift ICU position in an Acute Respiratory ICU, requiring an active GA or compact RN license and at least 18 months of ICU experience.

• Position is in the Acute Respiratory ICU of a hospital
• Patient population consists of acute respiratory and critical care cases
• 12-hour night shifts are required
• 13-week contract assignment
• Care for critically ill patients with acute and complex respiratory issues
• Maximum of five days of requested time off (RTO) allowed, or three days if RTO falls during holiday periods; only one holiday RTO request allowed
• Several consecutive days of RTO during holidays will not be approved and must be spread out
• No on-call responsibilities are required

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand required
• Minimum of 18 months recent ICU experience required
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility, as no local candidates are allowed
• Former Emory or Houston perm staff must be separated for 1 year before returning, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
