Key Responsibilities of the Travel Nurse

Provide specialized perioperative nursing care before, during, and after surgical procedures.
Prepare patients for surgery and assist with anesthesia and surgical equipment management.
Monitor vital signs and patient condition throughout perioperative care.
Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and perioperative team members.
Educate patients and families on preoperative and postoperative care instructions.
Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient outcomes.
Respond promptly to emergencies and surgical complications.

Requirements of the Travel Nurse

Valid Georgia Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Perioperative or Operating Room nursing.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications.
