RN (Critical Care) – First Call Staffing Internal Agency

This role supports critical and urgent staffing needs across Piedmont Healthcare’s 28 hospitals in Georgia.

Responsibilities

The Staff Nurse provides nursing care to patients throughout their life cycle using nursing processes to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care. The nurse functions within the organization’s policies and procedures, demonstrates professional growth and accountability, maintains standards of practice, and coordinates patient care activities of all assigned staff in delivering quality nursing care.

Qualifications

Minimum

Education Required:

Graduate of a nursing program.

Minimum Experience

Required:

Minimum two years of experience in performing professional nursing duties in the specialty area.

Minimum Licensure/Certification Required by Law: Current Registered Nurse license in Georgia or NLC/eNLC multistate license. BLS certification required. Critical Care: ACLS.

Additional Qualifications:

  • Maintain all competencies and certifications required for area(s) of specialty.
  • Collect pertinent data and information related to the healthcare consumer’s health or situation.
  • Analyze assessment data to determine diagnoses, problems, and issues.
  • Identify expected outcomes for individualized care plans.
  • Develop plans that prescribe strategies to attain measurable outcomes.
  • Implement the identified plan of care.
  • Coordinate care delivery.
  • Employ strategies to promote health and a safe environment.
  • Evaluate progress toward attainment of goals and outcomes.
  • Practice ethically.
  • Practice in a manner consistent with diversity and inclusion principles.
  • Communicate effectively in all practice areas.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare consumer and other stakeholders.
  • Lead within the professional practice setting and profession.
  • Seek knowledge and competence reflecting current nursing practice and futurist thinking.
  • Integrate evidence and research findings into practice.
  • Contribute to quality nursing practice.
  • Evaluate own and others’ nursing practice.
  • Utilize appropriate resources to plan, provide, and sustain evidence‑based nursing services that are safe, effective, and fiscally responsible.
  • Practice in an environmentally safe and healthy manner.
