Job Summary:
Seeking a CVOR (Cardiovascular Operating Room) Registered Nurse to provide specialized perioperative care for cardiovascular surgical patients. The nurse will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and prepare patients for cardiovascular surgical procedures in the operating room.
- Administer appropriate medications and monitor patient vitals during surgery.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other staff to ensure seamless surgical workflows.
- Maintain sterile field and adhere to infection control protocols throughout procedures.
- Document patient care activities and surgical details accurately in medical records.
- Respond quickly and effectively to intraoperative emergencies or complications.
- Valid RN licensure in Georgia or a Compact state at the time of submission.
- Minimum of 2 years' experience working in a CVOR or cardiovascular surgical setting.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, procedure-driven environment.
- Strong knowledge of cardiovascular anatomy, surgical procedures, and aseptic techniques.
- Ability to pass clinical screening according to Piedmont guidelines.
- Flexibility to work day shifts (3x12 hours) with required call duties and holiday coverage.
