Job Summary:
Provide specialized perioperative nursing care in a busy surgical unit, supporting various surgical procedures including robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, and gynecology. Ensure patient safety and quality care throughout all stages of surgery.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare the operating room and surgical instruments for scheduled procedures.
- Assist surgeons and surgical team members during surgeries, maintaining sterile techniques.
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels throughout procedures.
- Document all clinical care, observations, and patient responses accurately.
- Adhere to safety protocols and ensure proper sterilization of equipment.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to coordinate patient care and facilitate efficient workflow.
- Valid RN license with at least 2 years of recent OR experience within a specialty.
- Current AHA BLS certification; AHA ACLS preferred.
- Demonstrate proficiency in robotics, neuro, ortho, plastics, and gynecology cases.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, 24/7 surgical environment.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Comfortable working with advanced surgical technology and equipment.
- Gain diverse experience in high-volume surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
