Travel RN - Med​/Surg

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring at least 2 years of experience in a large or high-volume hospital setting.

Job Details

• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week,

• 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) - travelers will be providing direct patient care, not teaching or educating,

• Mixed Med/Surg patient population with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1,

• High-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment with complex and diverse cases,

• 4 weekend shifts required per month,

• Block scheduling is generally not approved,

• No on-call requirements,

Job Requirements

• Active RN license - GA state or Compact license required,

• BLS required; ACLS preferred,

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required,

• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large, high-volume hospital required,

• Proven ability to manage critical, fast-paced situations with complex and high-acuity cases,

• Experience in high-volume settings with diverse and severe patient presentations,

Additional Information

• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered for this role,

• No RTO (time off requests) will be approved during this assignment,
