Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular​/CVOR

Position: Travel RN - Operating Room - Cardiovascular OR/CVOR
American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a CVOR position requiring a minimum of 2 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR) setting,

• Day shift schedule: 3x12-hour shifts, 6:30 AM - 7:00 PM,

• Weekend rotation (details discussed during interview),

• On-call required: typically one weekday per week and one weekend every 5-6 weeks,

• Floating within the facility and within scope of practice as needed,

• No alternate shift or schedule requests are permitted - posted shift is firm,

Job Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required,

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR or cardiovascular OR experience required,

• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration,

• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred,

• First-time travelers are welcome to apply,

• Local candidates are accepted for this position,

• Candidates must have been away from all Piedmont facilities for at least one full year to be eligible to return as a traveler,

• RTO must be submitted upfront; RTO during the first week of assignment is not permitted, and a maximum of 7 days of RTO is allowed for the assignment,

• Holiday coverage is required: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work those holidays with no holiday RTO allowed; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of them and may request one holiday off,

• Major holidays include:
Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,

• Full compliance is required prior to the start date,

• Travel pairs will not be assigned to the same shift on the same unit
