Travel RN - Med​/Surg Tele

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg Telemetry position on a 32-bed Surgical ACE unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, with EPIC EMR experience and a background in high-volume trauma environments required.

• Active GA or compact RN license required
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Documented Med/Surg Telemetry experience required, supported by a completed skills checklist
• Experience in high-acuity, high-volume trauma environments required — candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Epic EMR experience required

• Position is on the 5A Surgical ACE unit, a 32-bed Med/Surg Telemetry floor
• Patient population consists of adults and older adults
• Nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5
• Care involves trauma patients, Heparin drips, and all acute medications as ordered
• Specialty equipment includes gait belts, geriatric chairs, and PT equipment
• EMR:
  Epic (experience required)
• 12-hour night shifts, 3 shifts per week
• Travelers are expected to work 4 weekend shifts per month
• Block scheduling is not approved
• No on-call requirements
• Facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center handling complex and severe cases across a diverse patient population
• Candidates must demonstrate a proven track record managing critical, fast-paced situations in large-scale trauma settings
• Experience in skilled nursing, rehab, or prior NICHE training is a plus
• No RTO (requested time off) will be approved for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
