Piedmont Atlanta Neurosurgery Surgical OR- Nurse Practitioner​/Physician Assistant

Overview

Piedmont Healthcare is recruiting for an advanced practice provider to join a well established Neurosurgical practice at Piedmont Atlanta.

• Assist with hospital rounds and surgical support.
• Take patient histories, conduct physical examinations, and record data in patients’ medical record in ambulatory practice.
• Evaluate and treat patients to achieve optimal patient care.
• Write progress notes; prepare patient work-ups and summaries noting pertinent positive and negative findings.
• Develop plans of care that minimize complications and successfully troubleshoot problems when they arise.
• Apply preventative and alternative treatment strategies for possible procedural complications.
• Complete pre‑op appointments for all surgical patients, working with supervising physician to ensure all required labs, clearances and testing are satisfactorily completed well before surgery.

Preferred Qualifications

• 3‑5 years of Neurosurgical experience with a high degree of clinical judgment.

Minimum Qualifications

• Masters and Bachelors Degree from an Accredited PA program.
• National Board Certification.
