Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Medical Surgical unit, focusing on acute medical and surgical needs. Ensure patient safety, comfort, and promote positive health outcomes through skilled clinical interventions.

Responsibilities:

• Assess patients' conditions and develop individualized care plans.
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and hospital protocols.
• Monitor vital signs and observe for any changes or complications.
• Collaborate with healthcare team members to coordinate patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and timely in electronic health records.
• Educate patients and their families on post-discharge care and health management.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with current registration.
• Minimum of 2 years of recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing.
• Hold a current AHA BLS certification.
• Demonstrate proficiency in patient assessment and clinical procedures.
• Ability to work night shifts, including weekends, as scheduled.
• Possess NIHSS certification.
