Overview
Responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR and other areas of perioperative services for all patient populations. Functions as an RN first assistant during operative and other invasive procedures and throughout the perioperative continuum in accordance with scope of practice credentials, privileges, experience, education and competency verification. At times is responsible for the delivery of safe, effective, and quality patient-family centered care in the OR in the role of an RN circulator.

Qualifications- Education
- Graduate from a nursing program
- Completion of an AORN-RN First Assistant program, which includes didactic and clinical components
- Work Experience
- 2 years perioperative RN or RNFA experience
- 3 years minimum experience as an RN or Surgical Tech in the CVOR, if working in the CVOR
- Licenses and Certifications
- RN
- Registered Nurse
- Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL (Multistate Licensure), Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNCL Multistate License - CNOR
- Certified Operating Room RN (if applicable) - CRNFA
- Certified Registered Nurse First Assistant - BCLS
- Basic Life Support - ACLS
- PALS
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support
- RN
