Travel RN - Case Management​/Utilization Review - Case Management

American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN Case Manager for a hospital-based case management position requiring a minimum of 3 years of experience and an active GA or compact RN license.

Job Details

• Hospital-based Case Management unit,

• Day shift schedule, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts),

• No weekend or on-call requirements,

• Floating within the facility and scope of practice as needed,

Job Requirements

• Active GA or compact RN license required at time of consideration,

• Minimum 3 years of RN case management experience required,

• Copies of all relevant certifications required for consideration,

• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above; charge nurse references not accepted) are highly preferred,

Additional Information

• Responsibilities include assessing and driving discharge planning, coordinating services to the appropriate level of care, monitoring length of stay, identifying barriers to discharge, and following Medicare regulatory guidelines including patient choice, IMM notices, and MOON notices,

• Treatment plans must be initiated, evaluated, and re-evaluated daily,

• RTO is capped at 7 days for the assignment; RTO cannot be requested during the first week of the assignment,

• Holiday coverage policy: if one or two major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work all of them; if three major holidays fall within the assignment period, travelers are expected to work two of them - major holidays include Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving/Black Friday, Christmas Eve/Christmas Day, and New Year's Eve/New Year's Day,

• Travelers must have been away from all facilities within this health system for a minimum of one full year before returning as a travel nurse,

• No scheduling change requests or alternate shift requests are permitted - the posted shift is firm,

• Local candidates are accepted for this position,

• First-time travelers will not be considered for this position
