Job Title:
Assistant/Associate Professor— DNP Program Nurse Anesthesia
Location:
Augusta University, College of Nursing
- Engage in didactic teaching in DNP core and/or concentration courses
- Course coordination and evaluation
- Partner with preceptors for student learning and evaluation
- Participate in curricular development and evaluation
- Participate on College of Nursing and university committees
- Mentor students in DNP projects
- Engage in scholarly activities (presentations and publications)
- Other responsibilities may vary by DNP concentration
- Doctorate degree relevant to the area of practice (PhD, DNP, DNAP)
- Active licensure to practice nursing in the state of Georgia or meet all eligibility requirements to apply for a nursing license in the state of Georgia
- Board certification in area of specialty (CRNA)
- One-year experience as a full‑time nurse anesthetist
- Academic teaching experience in didactic and clinical instruction in a nursing anesthesia program
- Comfort with technology‑infused engaging pedagogical strategies including simulation and other active learning modalities
- Evidence of contribution to the profession and recognition at the local, regional, or national level
- Evidence of scholarship through publication and/or professional presentations
This position is fiscal year based and works year-round. The intended work commitment or full‑time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full‑time.
Salary and compensation are commensurate with education, experience, and achievements; subject to availability of funds.
