Job Summary
The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) works under the supervision of the Professional Registered Nurse, the Licensed Practical Nurse, and/or the Physician, providing age‑appropriate, culturally and ethnically sensitive care. The CNA maintains a safe environment, collects and communicates information, and utilizes technology. Responsibilities include personal care of selected patients, assistance with activities of daily living, provision of comfort measures and nourishment, and execution of selected therapies delegated by a licensed professional.
The role also encompasses patient advocacy and performance improvement.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- CNA certification in the State of Georgia.
- Current American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Long‑term care experience strongly preferred.
- Ability to sit, stand, and walk for extended periods.
- May require lifting up to 25 pounds or pushing/pulling up to 75 pounds.
- Good visual, hearing, and speaking acuity.
- Work environment may expose to electrical shock, fumes, or airborne particles.
- Work environment may expose to infectious diseases.
