Registered Nurse (RN) | Progressive Care Unit
Location: Atlanta, GA
Agency: United Health Care Staffing, Inc.
Pay: $1,700 to $1,900 per week
Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP
Registered Nurse - Progressive Care Unit (PCU) in Atlanta, Georgia, 30301. This is a 13 week contract position with a dedicated PCU team where your clinical expertise and compassionate care help patients transition from critical care to recovery.
Responsibilities- Provide direct nursing care to patients requiring close monitoring and specialized treatment.
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments and monitor changes in patient condition.
- Administer medications, IV therapies, and prescribed treatments.
- Monitor cardiac rhythms, oxygen therapy, and other specialized equipment.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Recognize and respond promptly to changes in patient status and emergency situations.
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, case managers, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, medications, treatments, and discharge planning.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with facility policies and regulatory standards.
- Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and quality care guidelines.
- Deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in a fast-paced acute care setting.
- Active RN License in Georgia.
- Minimum 2 years of recent PCU, Step-Down, Telemetry, or Acute Care nursing experience.
- Current BLS Certification required.
- ACLS Certification required.
- NIHSS Certification preferred.
- Strong assessment, critical thinking, and clinical decision-making skills.
- Experience with cardiac monitoring and managing complex patient conditions.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple patient needs effectively.
- Proficiency with electronic medical records and nursing documentation systems.
- Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
