RN Night Supervisor Positions Available
Laurel Heights Hospital located in Atlanta Georgia has two RN Night Supervisor positions available. Laurel Heights Hospital is an intensive Residential Treatment/Acute and Autism Spectrum Disorders Program for children and adolescents. We serve and treat severe and complex psychiatric and behavioral difficulties and co-occurring psychiatric issues. We provide a caring, therapeutic setting with various therapeutic modalities and applied behavior analysis services.
Position Summary:
The Nurse Supervisor – Behavioral Health oversees the clinical and administrative operations of the behavioral health nursing team. This role ensures high-quality patient care, compliance with regulatory standards, and effective coordination among interdisciplinary teams. The supervisor provides leadership, mentorship, and direct support to nursing staff while promoting evidence-based practices in mental health. The nursing supervisor utilizes communication, critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making to oversee patient care throughout facility based on physiological, physiological, and cultural diversity.
Responsible for supervising and delegating non-professional personnel working directly with him/her to ensure optimum patient care. Works collaboratively with the leadership team to provide a comprehensive range of services for clinical care associated with and in accordance with standards of excellence.
Qualifications:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN) required; master's preferred
- Minimum 2-4 years of nursing experience in behavioral health or psychiatric settings
- Prior supervisory or leadership experience strongly preferred
- Knowledge of behavioral health regulations, trauma-informed care, and crisis management
- Strong communication, organizational, and conflict-resolution skills
- CPR and other relevant certifications (e.g., CPI, BLS)
Work Environment:
- Fast-paced inpatient or outpatient behavioral health setting
- Evening/Night coverage and weekend rotation required.
- Exposure to emotionally intense situations and psychiatric emergencies
