Position: Pre Op / PACU Registered Nurse

We are seeking an experienced Pre Op / PACU Registered Nurse to join a highly respected orthopedic ambulatory surgery center located in the Buckhead area of Atlanta.

This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside a collaborative team of surgeons and nurses in a fast-paced outpatient surgical environment known for its strong culture and exceptional physicians.

The centre operates 4 OR suites and specialises in a wide range of orthopedic procedures including joint replacements, spine, hand and sports related surgeries.

The team is looking for a positive, reliable nurse who works well in a team environment and can thrive in a high‑energy surgical setting.

While the ideal candidate will have RN experience in an ambulatory surgery centre, we will train the right candidate. That candidate will most likely have a Critical Care or an Emergency Room background.

Schedule
  • We are looking for someone for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.
  • The workday starts around 7a. Given the inconsistencies of outpatient surgery, you can get out anytime between 3p – 7p but you will know in advance.
Clinical Environment
  • 2 operating room orthopedic surgery centre
  • Procedures include total joints, spine, hand and general orthopaedics
  • EMR system is SIS Surgical Information Systems
  • Collaborative physician group with an excellent reputation in Atlanta
Responsibilities
  • Provide pre‑operative nursing care including patient assessment, preparation and education
  • Deliver post‑anesthesia recovery care while monitoring patients for safe discharge
  • Communicate effectively with surgeons, anaesthesia and peri‑operative team members
  • Maintain accurate clinical documentation in SIS EMR
  • Support efficient patient flow throughout the surgical day
  • Ensure patient safety and adherence to ambulatory surgery centre protocols
