Northside Hospital Atlanta is seeking an experienced Neonatal Anesthetist to provide anesthesia care for neonatal patients undergoing surgical and diagnostic procedures. The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of neonatal anesthesia experience in a high-acuity NICU or pediatric surgical setting and be committed to delivering safe, evidence-based, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities- Provide anesthesia care for neonatal patients before, during, and after surgical and diagnostic procedures.
- Perform pre-anesthesia assessments and develop individualized anesthesia care plans.
- Manage neonatal airways, ventilation, hemodynamic monitoring, and pain management.
- Collaborate with neonatologists, pediatric surgeons, NICU staff, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Respond to neonatal emergencies and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Maintain accurate documentation and comply with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Graduate of an accredited Anesthesiologist Assistant (AA) or Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist (CRNA) program.
- Current Georgia licensure or eligibility for licensure as an AA or CRNA.
- Current BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications (or ability to obtain within the required timeframe).
- 3–5+ years of recent neonatal anesthesia experience in a Level III/IV NICU or pediatric surgical environment.
- Strong knowledge of neonatal physiology, airway management, and perioperative anesthesia care.
- Excellent clinical judgment, communication, and teamwork skills.
