CVICU Nights - Nurse Practitioner​/Physican Assistant Piedmont Atlanta

Overview

Piedmont Heart Institute (PHI), located in the heart of Atlanta, is recruiting for Cardiovascular Critical Care Nurse Practitioners / Physician Assistants (APPs). They will provide 24-hour, on-site coverage to high-acuity patients while delivering the best care possible. This full-time position primarily works night shifts, with a rotating schedule between nights and days based on the unit's needs.

In this role you will become competent in a multitude of critical procedures and management strategies, including vascular access and line placements, bedside ultrasound, mechanical ventilation, hemodynamics, and complex mechanical circulatory support such as ECMO and LVADs.

As an APP you will be part of a collaborative team that provides specialized care for patients pre- and post-cardiovascular surgery, including heart transplantation, patients with advanced heart failure, cardiogenic shock, and other complex multi-organ problems.

Minimum Requirements:

• PA:
  Graduate of a Physician Assistants program with current license on the Georgia State Composite Board
• NP:
  Graduate from a school of nursing with current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a master's degree in Nursing

Preferred Experience: 3-5 years experience in the CVICU.
