Nurse Practitioner Behavioral Health - PRN Athens
Nurse Practitioner Behavioral Health- PRN Athens is responsible for performing a variety of patient care activities within Behavioral Health in accordance with established standards and practice. They augment a physician's ability to provide mental health services by collecting and documenting data, conducting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, ordering and scheduling laboratory studies and professional consultations, and providing direct patient care services.
Education- Masters degree graduate from an accredited school of nursing with a current Georgia license for Advanced Practice Nursing and a Masters in Nursing – required.
- Or Masters degree graduate of an accredited Physician Assistants program with a current license for the Georgia State Composite Board. Specialty in Behavioral Health – required.
2 years of Behavioral Health experience required. Behavioral Health experience is strongly preferred.
Licenses and Certifications- ACNP – Acute Care Nurse Practitioner, Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) upon hire required.
- FNP – Family Nurse Practitioner, Licensed for Advanced Practice Nursing (ACNP/FNP) upon hire required.
- PA – Physician Assistant, Licensed Physician Assistant in the State of Georgia. Updated NCCPA certification for PAs upon hire required.
- ACLS upon hire required.
- BCLS – Basic Life Support upon hire required.
