Travel RN - ICU

Overview

American Traveler is hiring a travel RN for a Neuroscience ICU/IMCU position at a high-acuity Level 1 trauma center, requiring a minimum of 2 years of neuro ICU experience and a GA or compact RN license.

• Active GA RN license or compact RN license currently in hand
• Current BLS certification required (certification card required for consideration)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in neuro ICU specialty
• Strong neuro experience required
• Proven background in high-acuity, high-volume hospital environments with complex and severe cases
• Experience managing critical, fast-paced trauma situations required
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
• Nursys license verification required for consideration
• Resume/work history with no employment gaps greater than 60 days required for consideration
• Skills checklist matching the neuro ICU specialty required for consideration

• Located in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center
• Unit: 8AB - Neuroscience ICU/IMCU (stepdown); floating between the two units is likely
• Patient ratios: 1:2 in the ICU and 1:3-4 in the stepdown/IMCU
• Complex neurological and trauma patient population with diverse and severe cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements
• Facility is a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center known for complex and challenging cases across a diverse patient population
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• EMR experience must be included in work history
