- Patient Prep: Admit patients, perform comprehensive assessments, collect medical histories, and verify NPO status/documentation.
- Clinical &
Education:
Start IV lines, administer pre-op medications, and provide vital pre-surgery patient education.
- Circulating Nurse Duties: Maintain a sterile, safe OR environment and assist the surgical team during procedures.
- Monitoring & Safety: Monitor patient vitals, communicate condition changes, and strictly adhere to infection prevention and safety protocols.
- Recovery Monitoring: Monitor post-op recovery for airway stability, pain control, bleeding, and anesthesia complications.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program required
- Previous Operating Room and/or PACU experience preferred
- Current and active Georgia RN License or Compact State License
