Registered Nurse – Cardiovascular Surgery
Schedule:
Shift: Days On-call:
Approximately 1 weekday on-call per week and ~1 weekend on-call every 4 weeks
Requirements:
License:
Registered Nurse license in Georgia or Compact RN license
Certifications:
CSFA, NBSTSA, or NCCSA; ACLS, BLS; RNFA (if applicable)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years OR experience, with specific experience in Cardiac, Vascular, Endovascular, and Thoracic cases; heart transplant experience highly preferred
Roles & Responsibilities:
Provide perioperative care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, endovascular, and thoracic procedures. Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and interpretation services. Maintain patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Adhere to sterilization and infection control protocols. Monitor patient progress and report any complications to the surgical team.
Compliance / Notes:
Privileging process required prior to start. Pre-application fee for privileging: $125 for partner agency placements. All compliance documents due the Tuesday prior to start.
