• Location: Atlanta, GA
• Practice Setting: Stand‑alone behavioral facility with Acute Inpatient and Residential Child/Adolescent populations ages 7-17. H&Ps, Medical Sick Call
• Support / Care Team: Multidisciplinary with BC Psychiatrists, BH Techs, BH RN, Psychiatric NPs, Social Workers and Therapists
• EMR / Technology: HCS

Responsibilities

• The duties include admission physicals and daily consult care with follow‑ups for child and adolescent patients in our behavioral health inpatient, residential treatment facility.
• The patient population will include both male and female children and adolescents ages 7–17 years with diverse psychiatric issues including autism.
• Medical management of routine illnesses as well as some specialty issues is in the scope of patient care under the Practitioner.
• There is a full team of diverse psychiatry physician staff at the hospital for collaboration between them and the FNP.
• Document care using HCS.

Qualifications

• PhD or Master’s Degree in Nursing from a recognized school of nursing
• Current licensure as a Nurse Practitioner/APRN in the State of Georgia or willingness to obtain licensure in Georgia.
• Board Certified through the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP‑BC) or Pediatric Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (PPCNP‑BC)
• Current National DEA Certificate
