• Conduct patient assessments and prioritize data collection based on patients' immediate conditions or needs.
• Perform ongoing assessments and provide treatments as ordered by a physician.
• Document findings and educate/support patients' families.
• Provide bedside care for a variety of patients, including pre‑ and post‑op patients.
• Prepare, administer, and record prescribed medication, reporting any adverse reactions to treatment.
• Change dressings, insert catheters, and start IVs.
• Prepare equipment and aid physicians during examinations and treatments.
• Educate patients on surgical procedures.
• Participate in discharge planning and initiate patient education plan as prescribed.
• Stand and walk for long periods, bend, lean, and stoop without difficulty. Lift 20 pounds easily; occasional lifting up to 50 pounds may be required.
• Work in a fast‑paced environment with patients that may be confused, agitated, or uncooperative.

• 1–2 years recent acute care experience.
• BLS certification, 2 years of experience.
• Additional certifications may be required before assignment.
