American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg position on a Dedicated Education Unit at a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center, requiring prior Level 1 or large hospital experience and night shift availability.

• Work on a 30-bed Dedicated Education Unit (9CD) in a hospital setting — travel nurses provide direct patient care and are not responsible for education duties
• Mixed Med/Surg patient population in a high-acuity, inner-city Level 1 trauma center environment
• Patient ratio of 5–6:1
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 3 shifts per week
• 4 weekend shifts required per month
• Block scheduling is generally not approved
• No on-call requirements

• Active RN license (GA or Compact) required
• BLS certification required; ACLS preferred
• Minimum 2 years of RN experience required
• Experience in a Level 1 trauma center or mid-to-large hospital required
• Proven background managing high-acuity, fast-paced, high-volume patient cases with diverse and complex presentations

• No RTO (requested time off) will be approved for this assignment
• Local candidates are accepted for this position
• Candidates with experience limited to small or low-volume hospitals will not be considered
