Job Purpose:

The LPN Charge Nurse on the 2nd Floor at Lenbrook Square Foundation Inc is responsible for providing specialized wound care to patients. This role involves assessing, evaluating, and treating patient wounds, developing individualized care plans, and ensuring the effective management of wound care supplies. The position requires adherence to professional standards and collaboration with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

Assess and evaluate patient wounds to determine appropriate treatment.

Develop and implement individualized wound care plans tailored to each patient's needs.

Clean and dress wounds using appropriate techniques and materials.

Monitor and document patient progress, updating treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal healing.

Perform debridement procedures as required to promote wound healing.

Manage wound care supplies, ensuring their availability and proper usage.

Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide comprehensive care and support to patients.

Maintain compliance with all healthcare regulations and standards.

Required

Education:

Current Licensed Nurse in the State of GAGood standing with the Georgia Board of Nursing CPR certification

Previous experience in wound care or a related field is often preferred, along with completion of specialized training programs2 years or more experience as a Wound Care Nurse

Required Experience:

Demonstrated experience in assessing and evaluating patient wounds

Proven ability to develop and implement individualized wound care plans

Experience in cleaning and dressing wounds

Proficient in monitoring and documenting patient progress, and updating treatment plans as necessary

Skilled in performing debridement

Experience in managing wound care supplies and ensuring their availability

Required

Skills and Abilities:

Strong clinical skills in wound assessment and care Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to work collaboratively with a healthcare team Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills

Ability to adapt to changing patient needs and treatment plans

Proficiency in using electronic medical records for documentation
