Registered Nurse - Admission Unit
This is a night shift position with 12-hour shifts, following a 3-week rotation.
Join our dynamic admission unit, providing care for general medical and surgical patients awaiting surgery. We are looking for experienced Registered Nurses who can communicate effectively and work independently in a fast-paced environment. This unit processes patients rapidly, leading to a higher turnover than standard medical-surgical units.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to medical and surgical patients.
- Manage rapid patient admissions, ensuring timely assessments and interventions.
- Maintain an effective nurse-to-patient ratio of 5-6:1.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
- Document patient care and communicate effectively with the team.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical-surgical nursing.
- Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in good standing.
- Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Skills checklist and recent work history must be provided.
- References as required.
