Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery #26-20870

$1,933/week Atlanta, GA

RN-Registered Nurse $1,645 weekly stipends $8/hour $288 weekly base pay Onsite Contract Starts 7/20/2026 13 weeks

Shift Details

Night Shift 12 hours/day 3 days/week, 13‑week assignment, 3x12 nights, every other weekend (Saturday/Sunday)

Schedule:

Variable, 3x12‑hour night shifts. Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM. Duration: 13 weeks.

Candidate Requirements

No local candidates within a 50‑mile radius will be considered.

Required Certifications
  • American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS)
  • Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP)
  • AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification
Preferred Experience
  • Cerner EMR
  • Experience caring for patients with high‑risk pregnancies
  • Preeclampsia
  • Gestational and pre‑existing diabetes
  • Preterm labor
Roles & Responsibilities
  • Provide comprehensive nursing care to laboring, antepartum, and immediate postpartum patients.
  • Perform maternal and fetal assessments, including electronic fetal monitoring and interpretation of fetal heart tracings.
  • Monitor and manage high‑risk obstetric conditions such as preeclampsia, diabetes, and preterm labor.
  • Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and treatments according to physician orders and hospital protocols.
  • Assist with labor management, induction and augmentation of labor, vaginal deliveries, and emergency obstetric situations.
  • Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure safe patient care.
  • Provide patient and family education regarding labor, delivery, postpartum recovery, breastfeeding, and newborn care.
  • Respond rapidly to maternal or fetal emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions.
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, medications, and outcomes in the Cerner electronic medical record (EMR).
  • Maintain compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and regulatory standards.
