Operating Room Rn

The Operating Room RN is responsible for providing specialized perioperative nursing care to patients undergoing surgical procedures. This role requires a highly skilled, adaptable nurse capable of managing complex cases within a fast-paced surgical environment.

Responsibilities:

• Coordinate and deliver comprehensive preoperative and postoperative patient care.
• Administer anesthesia, monitor patient vital signs, and respond to intraoperative needs.
• Ensure sterile techniques and adherence to surgical protocols to prevent infections.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and surgical technicians to facilitate efficient procedures.
• Document all patient care activities accurately and promptly in compliance with hospital policies.
• Maintain compliance with licensing, safety standards, and hospital regulations.

Qualifications:

• Possess a minimum of 3 years of recent Operating Room nursing experience.
• Hold an active RN license in Georgia or a Compact State license.
• Demonstrate proficiency in neurology, transplant, general surgery, gynecology, orthopedics, and related specialties.
• Exhibit strong clinical assessment skills and the ability to respond swiftly to intraoperative changes.
• Be fully compliant with hospital orientation and licensing requirements prior to start date.
