American Traveler is hiring a Level IV NICU RN for a weekend-focused night shift contract requiring recent NICU and travel experience.

• Level IV NICU setting caring for pediatric and respiratory patients
• Night shift schedule (3x12 hours, 19:00-7:00)
• Weekend-only position requiring every Saturday and Sunday plus one weekday night shift
• 13-week contract with potential for extension
• Holiday coverage required
• Float required to other departments within the facility and to sister NICU units, including sister campuses within a 12-mile radius
• Epic EMR experience required
• Minimal to no RTO available

• Active GA or compact RN license required in hand at time of submission (pending licenses not accepted)
• Minimum 2 years of recent NICU experience required
• Level IV NICU experience required
• Recent travel nursing experience required
• BLS certification required
• PALS certification (American Heart Association only) required
• NRP certification preferred
• BSN preferred but not required
• Epic EMR charting experience required
• Tracheostomy care/management and ventilator management skills (AC/PC/SIMV/CPAP/BIPAP/PEEP) required
• Trauma Level I experience preferred
• Two professional references from supervisor level or higher completed within the last 12 months required for consideration

• Provide advanced NICU nursing care including respiratory support and tracheostomy/ventilator management for critically ill neonatal patients
• Facility is a nicotine-free campus; nicotine/cotinine testing is conducted, and smoking is not permitted
• First-time travelers are accepted if their resume demonstrates the required skill set
• Candidates must be prepared to complete required paperwork, labs, and license verification quickly after receiving an offer due to strict compliance timelines
• A medication competency test is administered, with a review and second-chance opportunity provided if needed
