American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Step Down position requiring a GA or compact license and 18 months of recent specialty experience.

• Step Down unit within a hospital setting focused on pulmonary/thoracic patient care
• 3x12-hour AM shifts totaling 36 hours per week
• No on-call responsibilities
• 13-week assignment with available start dates every Monday

• Active GA or compact RN license in hand
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications
• Minimum 18 months of Step Down experience within the past 3 years
• Full SSN and date of birth required for consideration

• Navy blue scrubs required
• New hires must pass a proctored rhythm identification test (non-multiple choice, two attempts allowed) upon starting
• Candidates must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility to be eligible; local candidates not accepted
• Former Emory or Houston permanent staff must be separated for 1 year before returning to the health system, or 18 months if returning to the same facility
• RTO is limited to a maximum of 5 days if not falling on or near a holiday, or 3 days if it does, with only one holiday request allowed
