Medical Surgical Registered Nurse
This is a 13-week contract position.
This position requires a night shift of 12 hours, working a 3-day rotation.
The Medical Surgical Registered Nurse will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in a medical surgical unit, managing and monitoring patient conditions, administering medications, and collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Candidates should have proficiency in the EPIC electronic health record system.
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor and assess patient conditions, vital signs, and responses to treatment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Educate patients and families regarding health conditions and post-discharge care.
- Collaborate with healthcare team members in patient management and planning.
Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the medical surgical nursing specialty.
- Current RN license verified through Nursys.
- Certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) and relevant specialty certification preferred.
- Work history and resume with no gaps greater than 60 days.
- Completion of a skills checklist and provision of references.
