Nurse – CVOR

Schedule

Weekend coverage:
Friday–Sunday (rotating). Call:
Yes — variable (typically one weekday call each week; one weekend call every ~5–6 weeks).

Assignment Details

Maximum RTO per contract: 7 days. RTO restrictions apply, including no consecutive weekend RTO and limited holiday RTO.

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of CVOR/OR nursing experience.
• Required certifications: ACLS, BLS.
• Experience with cardiac and vascular procedures (e.g., CABG, valve procedures, TAVR) and mechanical circulatory support (IABP, LVAD/RVAD) is beneficial.
• Charting system:
  Epic.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care in the CVOR unit for adult and geriatric patients.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including respiratory services and interpretation services.
• Monitor and assess patient conditions pre-, intra-, and post-operatively.
• Ensure compliance with unit protocols and procedures.
• Participate in call rotation and be available for holiday coverage as needed.

Compliance / Notes

Full compliance required to start on time; lack of compliance may delay start. All compliance documents due by the Tuesday prior to start.
