Medical ICU Registered Nurse

Location: Atlanta, GA 30303
Duration: 16 Weeks
Schedule: Days | 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Unit: Medical Intensive Care Unit (MICU)
Unit Size: 30 Beds

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) – Intensive Care Unit for a fast-paced 30-bed Medical ICU. The RN will provide care to high-acuity adult patients with complex medical conditions requiring close monitoring and intensive nursing interventions.

• Sepsis

• Heart Failure

• Hypertensive Emergency

• Respiratory Failure

• COPD

• Chronic Kidney Disease

• Type 2 Diabetes Mellitus (T2DM)

• Alcohol Use/Abuse

• Substance Abuse

• Status Epilepticus

• Encephalopathy

• Minimum 3 years of ICU experience.

• Recent experience caring for critically ill patients in a Medical ICU preferred.

• Experience managing mechanically ventilated patients (vents) required.

• Experience managing patients receiving IV medication drips/vasoactive medications required.

• Must be comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment.

• BLS required.

• ACLS required.

• Strong critical-thinking, assessment, prioritization, and patient-management skills.

• Ability to recognize and respond appropriately to rapidly changing patient conditions.
