Hospital MICU unit with high-acuity cases and ventilator support
- Provide direct patient care to critically ill adults in the MICU, including monitoring hemodynamics and respiratory status
- Manage ventilated patients and IV vasoactive drips as ordered; titrate medications per protocol
- Perform comprehensive assessments, document care, and respond to rapid changes in patient condition
- Administer medications, evaluate effectiveness, monitor for adverse effects, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team
- Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and care teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure patient safety, infection control, and accurate and timely charting; communicate with families as appropriate
- 3+ years of MICU/ICU nursing experience
- ACLS and BLS certifications required
- Ventilator management experience and IV vasoactive drips administration
- Ability to work the night shift (12-hour shifts) and meet the guaranteed hours
- Comfort functioning in a fast-paced, high-acuity ICU environment
